- The free storage space lets you back up any type of machine, provided that compatible software (OpenStack Swift / S3 / SFTP) can be installed on it, including Linux / Windows servers and Synology NAS.
- Flux Backup can be used with the following software, but not only, provided they are compatible with OpenStack Swift / S3 / SFTP:
Cyberduck - Swift (Keystone 3)
Hyper Backup - Synology NAS
rClone - Swift (Keystone 3)
Duplicati - Swift (Keystone 3)
CloudBerry - S3
FileZilla - SFTP
Mountain Duck - Swift (Keystone 3) - S3 is an Amazon product and, as such, includes 'features' not handled by Swift itself. For example, Swift has nothing to do with billing, whereas S3 buckets can be linked to Amazon's billing system.
Flux Backup therefore uses the S3 protocol, compatible with all headers and operations that are compatible. - On Jelastic there is a Flux Backup extension that lets you make backups directly from your Jelastic dashboard.
