The main differences between a VPS Lite and a VPS Cloud concern bandwidth, SLA, snapshots and the flexibility of the offer.
VPS Lite :
- Bandwidth: 500 Mbit/s

VPS Cloud :
- Bandwidth: 10 Gb/s
- Guaranteed availability: 99.99%

VPS Lite lets you quickly get a server with the Windows version or Linux distribution of your choice, with preconfigured cloud resources at a very attractive price. They are particularly suited to simple web applications, development/pre-production environments, testing or projects that are not yet critical.
With Linux, you can connect to the server through the VNC console of the NeoFlux Manager or via SSH (your computer's terminal). In both cases root access (su- / sudo) is available.
With Windows, the connection is made through the RDP protocol. The Administrator account is configured automatically when you order your VPS Lite.
When ordering, you can choose between Linux and Windows.
With Linux, you will be able to create a key pair or upload your public key. This key must then be specified the first time you connect over SSH. The full procedure is described in detail in our guide.
With Windows, you will be asked to choose the password for the Administrator account. You can then access the server using RDP software such as Microsoft's “Remote Desktop” application. The full procedure is described in detail in our guide.
You can choose Windows Server 2019, 2022 or 2025 with a Microsoft Windows Server license. This license is owned by NeoFlux and remains available to you as long as the VPS Lite is active. It ends when the product is deactivated. If needed, this guide explains in detail the procedures related to activating a Windows Server license
If you use Microsoft software that requires a Mobility license, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Sharepoint Server or Microsoft Exchange Server, you must provide us with the Software Assurance document through our contact form.

As an 'unmanaged' service, VPS Lite does not include support related to management, configuration, the operating system or the applications run on the server. This product offers total freedom with root/administrator access to customize your server according to your needs and technical skills.
